Outreach Program

Hello! I went in Trece Martirez this morning to share what I have with the Grade 1 kids for our Outreach program. Yes, I absented my self in my NSTP class just to see my grade 1 students.

There are some delays but the kids waiting for us, waving is so touching.

(sad to say some of the pictures are still with Ms. Choi and Ate Kristel)

One of the two students pointed at me, saying “ that is my teacher” – in tagalong, “yun yung teacher ko oh…” and I said hi and I approached them.

I immediately asked them how they are doing and I started my lesson immediately because we are running out of time. I taught them the A-B-C and the story of the three little pigs which I think they enjoyed.

I have this favorite student named Daniel and eventually a new favorite named Buena approached me to ask me to teach her how to write and we had our special sessions. J

I actually enjoyed being with them more than the first visit because they are more comfortable being with me.

I appreciate their efforts, their eagerness to learn. Someday, I will be a full pledge teacher and I still want to see this children. J

Actually, I was amazed by my Grade 1 students because they can translate English words to Tagalog words already. Most of them can read and write.

They can comprehend with Ate Zai’s lesson on clock reading, counting and spelling the numbers as 1 = one.

I miss those kids already because they made me feel that they need me.

Although I won’t TRADE my sister’s daughter, Anya for them, I could say that 50% of my attention for anya is the same as theirs.

We have our pictures also inside the van, where in we are all HAPPY and NOISY although most of us are sleepy and tired, the travel and the program itself is ful of wonderful experiences.

More outreach to come please!!! J

*** PICTURES WILL BE POSTED MONDAY***

Stray Cats
Pulot and Puti are my best friends and again, it is mating time for them that "barakos", male cats are roaming around making annoying noises and puti is always out flirting with them. I am so angry this afternoon, pulot was sleeping above the aquarium and he was awakened by two cats fighting, what I did was, I run with a broom stick shooing those cats. They hid themselves under the car, do they know that that car was expensive that I can't hit it.

I love cats and dogs but those stray cats are so annoying, I really hate them.

Long Weeeeeeeek

Last week, the class started and I was very excited to see my friends again after 1 week. Monday, it was only Ana, Sham and I who attended the class from our group and I was surprised that Ana has a date that she attended only the morning class, so Sham and I was left alone. Then, Tuesday, again, it was only Sham, Angie and I who were present because Kaycee was not around yet, Kris and Ana were sick. We had our seminar, Wednesday and I was so happy to see kris and Angie and Sham again so as Kaycee!!! Thursday, Kaycee was absent and Ana is still sick. Ana attended the class Friday.

First week of classes usually, is orientation week but I was shocked because this trimester professors are excited to start discussing their lessons already.

Last Thursday, I already did my first Report. And I have 2 reports more to go for 2 different subjects, major subjects to be specific. We even had our project to submit this Monday already!!!

Anyway, I have here the pictures of my friends last Wednesday; Sham was not feeling well so, I don’t have the guts to ask her for picture taking. Yes, their flu virus went infected me already. J but I really want them to be around because I don’t want few people surrounding me.:) That is what you call.. Attachment.

Visit to My Dentist
Yesterday, I went to my dentist. I have my braces on due to Lock Jaw. Then, she told me that 2 months is all we need and we are over.

After the monthly visit, my Mom and I went to St. Francis. I requested her to buy me a new shoes. I like buying one in St. Francis because it lasts for long and the designs are good.

Here is my new Shoes

my friends are very ashamed of me because I can buy shoes for a lesser price. :)

by the way, look at me, I am wearing my recycled shirt. :)

We also bought my sister's requested DVD: Medium, Teletubbies and Sex in the City. :)

Recycle?

Ok…

I am not used of wearing sleeveless because I am not that confident to show my shoulder and my under arms. Hahaha

That is why despite the motivations from my sister, when I say motivation, they buy sleeveless shirts for me, I never thought of wearing one. That is why all the sleeveless shirts were stocked in my cabinet.

But, the fashion of teens today is a good time for me to recycle those shirts. fashion of teens - yung patong patong yung damit. nyahaha.:)

What do I mean recycle?

Look at this…

I found a white t-shirt in my cabinet and this pink sleeveless from my sister.

It is a good pair isn’t it?

Why not try recycling your clothes too, to be in? :)

Highschool Life

Hindi naman sa hindi ako masaya ngayong college, actually ngayong college ko lang nafeel na may pagka independent din pala ako na I can do things on my own, pero, 4 years and some almost 10 years kong nakasama… It is really possible na mamiss ko sila. Especially yung mga CLOSEST friends koh na may magagandang experiences with me. J

Let us take a look…

Noong first year. Ahh.. that time, ang closest friend ko si Claire, si Monsour and syempre and aking bestfriend na si Janine.

The scenario

(sorry for the word) ehh ikaw ba naman, 1st year highschool ka 4th year highschool ang magkakagusto sayo.. d ba???

Experience with Monsour: pinagtataguan naming yung nagging boyfriend ko, as in inikot naming yung buong campus, tapos paglingon ni Monsour sa likod naming, AYUN!!! Nahuli na kami. Tapos, may takbuhan moments pa yun and gulatan moments.

Monsour is one of my closest guy friend na kayak o sigurong halikan ng walang malisya.

Experience with Claire: si Claire naman yan yung umaalalay sakin kasi matured na yan especially when it comes to love life, ehh bata pa ako noon so I really need assistance.

Noong second year naman…

Noong third year naman, naku!!!

J kahit tahimik ako and palaaral..

Nakakahiya.

Happy Birthday Partner!!!
Happy Birthday to YOU!!! Happy Birthday to YOU!!!

Happy birthday partner!!! I miss you. I miss the company. Thank you for being my partner way back high school… up to now naman di ba? J

Thank you kasi kahit naiwan ako ng mga KABAGANG ko, sina Diona, Leah and Llara ng section, you are there for me.

Thank you talaga. You are one of the reasons why my highschool life is worth it.

The Ex-Factor by Andrea Semple

This is such a nice book. All the characters are related to each other. Also, after reading the last chapters you will go: Oh My God!!! Arrghh.. and it is as if, you are on the major character's shoe. Your expectation or what you want to happen next while reading the beginning won't happen in the end but there are revelations that you might hate a character.

The style used by the author is quiet similar to the styles of the stories by Cosmopolitan. :) not boring but with sense.

Blog Things
You Are 2: The Helper

You always put on a happy face and try to help those around you.
You're incredibly empathetic and care about everyone you know.

Able to see the good in others, you're thoughtful, warm, and sincere.
You connect with people who are charming and charismatic.

At Your Best: You are deeply giving, altruistic, and humble. You devote your life to others while caring for yourself too.

At Your Worst: You are manipulative and enjoy making other people guilty.

Your Fixation: Rejection

Your Primary Fear: Being unworthy of love

Your Primary Desire: To be loved unconditionally

Other Number 2's: Mother Teresa, John Travolta, Princess Diana, Dr. Phil, and Mr. Rogers.

Your Kissing Purity Score: 80% Pure

You've hardly ever been kissed

But the kisses you've given are very missed

You Are 72% Pure

You're pretty pure, and you have no plans on changing that.
You do have a devilish side though... and it will probably get the better of you.

You Have Your Sarcastic Moments

While you're not sarcastic at all times, you definitely have a cynical edge.
In your opinion, not all people are annoying. Some are dead!
And although you do have your genuine moments, you can't help getting your zingers in.
Some people might be a little hurt by your sarcasm, but it's more likely they think you're hilarious.

You Are 13 Years Old

Under 12: You are a kid at heart. You still have an optimistic life view - and you look at the world with awe.

13-19: You are a teenager at heart. You question authority and are still trying to find your place in this world.

20-29: You are a twentysomething at heart. You feel excited about what's to come... love, work, and new experiences.

30-39: You are a thirtysomething at heart. You've had a taste of success and true love, but you want more!

40+: You are a mature adult. You've been through most of the ups and downs of life already. Now you get to sit back and relax.

Your Love Style is Agape

You are a caring, kind, and selfless partner.
Unsurprisingly, your love style is the most rare.
You are willing to sacrfice your world for your sweetie.
Except it doesn't really feel like sacrifice to you.
For you, nothing feels better than giving to the one you love.

hey this one is quiet true!!!

Chance You'll Live to 100: 75%

100 is looking pretty likely for you right now. You've made your health a priority.
So kick back, keep doing what you're doing, and enjoy the great life you've made for yourself.
And you might get to see what the world is like 70, 80, or even 90 years from now.

Assessment is Test of Patience

Today, I left home early for two reasons: 1. so that my sister won’t take a bus or van and 2. To process my enrollment. I arrived 7:08 in the morning and I immediately chose my schedule. After that, I waited for Ms. Chi, school of education’s adviser, so that I can get my adviser’s slip. This is how our script goes.

08:15

Ms. Chi: Good morning, so what do you have? (arriving from the door)
Liza: Ma’am I will process my enrollment today.
Ms. Chi: Ok, wait a moment. (fixing her things)

08:25

Ms. Chi: Liza, do you have your curriculum with you?
Liza: No ma’am, I actually don’t have it.
Ms. Chi: Ok, you fill this up and copy your schedule there… Wait for me, I will just go to the accounting.
Liza: Ok, ma’am

09:00

(Sham arrived)
Blah blah blah…
Until sham and I decided to go up stairs because we have our class already and Ms. Chi was still busy talking to Dean.

11:00( I went down to ask Ma’am Chi to sign the adviser’s slip)

Liza: Ma’am, is this ok already?
Ma’am Chi: Yes, ok… (signing) you proceed now to the assessment to avail the 10% discount.

Ok… and that was the first part… it is actually fine with me because Dean’s secretary was not around and Ms. Chi is not actually a secretary but a full time professor and she is very busy doing other stuff…

Then I proceed to the assessment, registrar, with a long line…

When it was my turn already:

Ms. Student assistant: babalikan nalang ito
Liza: Ok, mga what time?
Ms. SA: after lunch
Liza: anong after lunch? 1:00

Then, when it was 2:30, I went to check… nagbabakasakali lang…

Liza: Ms. Ok na ba yung Castronuevo?
Ms. #1: mamaya pa yan 3 pm..
Liza: Ah, ok… sige..
J

And it is again, fine with me because the real schedule was 3pm..

Then, I went there 3:10

Liza: Ms. yung Castronuevo
Ms. #1: ah. Eto… for REACTIVATION ka…
Liza: HA?!
Ms. #1: continued shouting the names…

Argghh… that’s the point where I got irritated…
So, then, I proceed to Ms. Chi, and ask why I was given the form for REACTIVATIOn. She said.. “go there and tell them that you don’t need that form because you are enrolled 1st trimester, that form is only for those who stopped and decided to enroll again.. “

So I went there and ask the SA student then she asked MS. #1…

Ms. #1: ok check ko..
Ms #1 on Ms #2: bakit siya for reactivation? Hindi siya reactivation…
Ms#1 on me: Ok na…

So I waited there from 3:30 up to 4:30…
MY god!!!
4:30… the time when I got my assessment form…

I have to pay my tuition tomorrow so again I will leave home early. And I think, Blue Form can wait…

I am kind and understanding but my patience are not that strong!!!

weeks that pass.. :) is a long week
Hi blog!!! I wasn’t able to post new events here for sooo long… but here are the updates.. J

ü Our cat, puti, gave birth to three lovely kittens. Pulot is afraid.

v She is a responsible mother now.

ü Last Wednesday, I went out on a date… If you are my friendster friend, you can request me to allow you to see my private photos. It is 98% Private.

ü Last Monday, My friends and I went food hunting along Taft Avenue, 12:00 in the afternoon… Why? The canteen was loaded and was and still being reconstructed with many hungry students and staffs waiting for their turn to buy EXPENSIVE food.

v We went to Goldilocks near Women’s, Gen. Malvar St. ata yun and it is loaded also, we walk all the way to Pedro Gil, and there we find FOOD. Mc Donald’s.!!!

ü This week is my FINALS week and next week… ENROLLMENT again!!! I hope and I believe that I will pass all my subject this trimester and I am very glad that my PE and Philippine History class are over.

Ok… I am now on my 2nd year and I am still not convinced that I am a college student. I act like a 13 year old high school student. I even dress like a 1st year high school student.

Though there are changes in my way of thinking… I am still under the IDEALISTIC world. I don’t know why, maybe because I am still a teenager??? You know, I am the youngest among the 17 or 20 of us… some of my classmates are 25, some are 30 and I am 17. Yes, age doesn’t matter; I don’t have a problem with my studies or what so ever but… I am still a CHILD!!!

ü I wasn’t able to get my passport because I am still 17 and for other confidential issues.

ü My classmates were busy processing their SSS and busy looking for jobs during a seminar, and I can’t relate because I am not yet qualified in the working world.

ü During s*x issues or topics inside the classroom… they see Angie and me as a minor so they shut up and excuse themselves for saying that word…

It is not actually a problem, but does AGE matter? Blah blah blah. Now, tell me... Nakakrelate ka ba???
