New Shoutbox
I have now a new cbox say good bye to my former shoutbox.

from shoutbox.com I transfered to cbox.ws because of the following reasons:

  • I find the colors interesting
  • In my shoutbox, when I click a single link, two windows from two different sites will open
  • Isn't it that it is cuter than the former one.
Enjoy hopping with my new cbox!!!

How to Save the Earth the Student's Way

Preventing Global warming, The Student’s Way

We are only students but do you know that we consume more papers and we produce more trash??? (what?!) Yes, we consume papers for note taking, for quizzes, for projects and for home works. Oops, let me include the certificates you get for being awarded because of your good performance and the official grading sheet we get from the Registrar’s office. Now, after the tern orafter studying we throw them all in the waste basket and here comes the grbage truck collecting them to be burned! Count all the number of students in the earth and count how many trimesters there are to complete a certain course.

Notebook is a necessity of a student. However, we have to do something to lessen those papers that we dispose.

  • Recycle your notebooks

o Recycling your notebooks requires creativity. (creativity through the use of recycled materials again) Why not remove the spring of your old notebook and collect all those unused sheets. I believe, you can produce one new notebook that is enough for5 subjects in college.

  • Give recycled materials as a gift.

o Remember my last post? The box I did? I actually gave it to Kris because she likes it. J

o Use those chocolate boxes, cover it with Abacca made paper and use some sheets from the magazine to make paper beads as a decoration.

  • Use used papers
    • I bet you have a geometry class, trigonometry class or algebra class why not use your old handout in Philippine History (the back part) as your scratch paper?
  • Collect unused yellow pad

o You bought 1 pack of yellow pad last trimester? Look if there are sheets that are unused you can still use it next trimester. Papers don’t have expiration dates anyway!

  • E-mail your reports

o E-mail your reports to your dear classmates and let them print it in a scratch paper. You have extra advantage for that: Extra money because you did not spend your photocopying budget.

  • ·Instead of burning your papers learn to make a recycled paper: there are online procedures on how to make one: try this site.

I am actually an addict buyer of notebooks and cute papers but after realizing this stuff, I promise to recycle them all!

If you have other ideas on how to help prevent Global Warming, LET THE WORLD KNOW!!!

Final Grades
Finally.. :) I have enrolled already. However, I left my application for the scholarship (the 25% discount for dean's listers) unfinished because it is not yet signed by the registrar. The assistant there told me that I should have applied the scholarship 2 weeks after the start 3rd trimester. I defended my self saying that I was informed that I am qualified more than 2 weeks after the start of classes. She asked me to come back on Monday for the result. What I will do is just to contact her by phone. :)

This previous trimester, I am not qualified for Dean's List because my weighted average is 1.71 something, I need a 1.5. It doesn't hurt because I know that I really lacked effort. I already told my mom and she didn't nag anyway. :)

I have here the picture of my Final Grades:

***Actually, I accompanied my professor in the encoding booth because she don't know how to encode, what a coincidence that I was there when she is about to encode... am I an angel in disguise for her??? hahahaha***

Principles and Methods of Teaching 2 - 1.5
Educational Technology 2 - 1.5
Assessment of Learning 1 - 1.75
Livelihood and Non-Formal Education - 1.75
Modern World Poetry - 1.75
English-American Literature- 2.00
Literary Criticism- 2.00
MSCE- 1.00 *msce na nga lang ehh*
Religion- 1.25
-----------------------------------------------
weighted average: 1.71
-----------------------------------------------

The schedule for next trimester is not yet available but I enrolled already because I am availing the 10% discount for early bird enrollees.. :) Therefore, it is the assessment office who will fix my my schedule for 2 subjects only since my other subjects are available in 1 section and time only. :) They will fix my schedule for RELIGION and MSCE..:) hahahahI hope they won't give me night schedules, I prefer it Wednesday since I have a Field Study (Practicum) Monday to Friday. By the way for my readers classmates, note that we have a 900.00 practicum fee for Field Study. :)

till here, I want to enjoy the vacation by sleeping a lot. :)
see you in my next post. :)

Rachelle Ann Go
wee.. :) a new (revival) song from my favorite, Rachelle Ann Go.

i stand before u, accused of many crimes
but i wanna believe the love can still survive
you dont have to say it i dont have to read my mind
to know that emptiness has finally arrived

how was i to know the right from wrong
words were hardly spoken
so where did i go wrong

tell me honestly
if you still loving me
looking into my eyes
honestly

words have more meaning
if there said a certain times
well i need u now
so i can feel alive
how would you know it
you wont get me sometimes
seeif everything will work out you'll be mine

for i be lost forever
and someday i'll be find
the world that i've been searching for
or just some piece of mind

tell me honestly
if u still inlove with me
looking into my eyes
honestly
repeat

all the nights i sit and wonder
there must be more to life im sure that
days and years go by while i am
waiting for this lonely feeling

Studying Photoshop
Since, I am very bored at home, I have decided to learn Photoshop although I am only using Photoshop 7.0 because that is the version available in the desktop.

Look at my first creations. :)

I actually asked Malang to paint my niece's precious moment in the backyard. :)

I promise to make more effects soon.

I used these site1 and site 2 as a reference in this creation.

Not a bad start eh??

Movie Reviews

Shutter

Shutter is pretty nice especially if you have a boyfriend that you can hold on to when the suspense part is coming. :) I recommend it for those who want a semi-horror / semi-suspense movies. :)
The moral of the story: boys, listen to this: "Don't play with girl's feeling!!!"

Solstice

Solstice contains everything: sex ( a little of course) , love, horror, comedy, suspense... :) You've got it all! This is also nice if you are with a boyfriend that can explain what is happing while you are hiding behind his back. :)
It is not actually horror but it is more suspense and for me it has "investigative theme". :)

Cloverfield

Yah.. (blair witch!!!) I won't recommend it if you are the type of individual who gets dizzy easily. :) hahahaaha..

Oh com'on!

Psychosis is a generic psychiatric term for a mental state often described as involving a "loss of contact with reality." People suffering from it are said to be psychotic.

from: Wikepedia

Ok.. I think I know someone who is pretending to be insane, retarded and psychotic. We all know that people tend to give much attention to those who are not in the normal state (out of concerned).
Here is the story:

weeks ago (i'm not sure) we were informed that she was acting hysterically. She then, danced in the street, threw rocks on somebody's HOME, sang songs, shouts (whatever!!!).
Then, she was diagnosed of NO ILLNESS!!! NO DISORDERS!!!
we discovered that she have many debts, therefore, my mother being a very good samaritan, helped her pay the debts (oh god!) then, after a snap or two... after knowing that everything were payed already... everything seems to be normal...

now, at this very day, we were informed ones again that she is acting abnormal again. everybody is fed up with her already because we believe that we cannot help someone who cannot help themselves...
they have their own mother, why disturb mine???

I sympathized with her in the beginning but now, I know that everything is just playing PrEtEnD. She is playing pretend so that she can escape everything...
it is okey to help but to tell you "are you going to help someone who will in return tell you {why did you send me to a hospital who is very expensive???}" tell me???

I will just pray for her... but I hope, she won;t pretend anymore because everybody HERE are fed up with her... nobody cares anymore... nobody wants to be involved...

She is dear to us... yet we cannot tolerate her... we want her to learn through her mistakes... we want her to realize that not all the time, everybody can spend their time looking for her.

Demo Teaching
Yesterday, I had my Demo Teaching in Principles and Methods of Teaching 2.

Ana took some pictures using her digital camera, however it is not yet uploaded in her friendster account. :)

going on...
I discussed the story "The Soul of the Great Bell" and a little lesson in making a "summary".
I had 2 motivations, a powerpoint presentation of the song "Father and Daughter" (which is quiet awkward for me.. :) hahaha) and a puzzle pieces of a bell.
My classmates pretend to be a second year high school students. (namely: allan, pau, ana, angie, shammy, ms. choi and ate zai) - since we are the only "BSE-English students" enrolled in the subject, BEED students were sent out of the class by Ma'am Chi... :))

After my demonstration, Ana was next followed by Ate Zai.

Last Monday, Angelica, Sham and Allan had their demo teaching.

This demo teaching will serve as our Final Exams that's why we are quite nervous as we demonstrate the lesson.. :) (I hope we will all receive a god grade for what we have done)
next to demonstrate is ate pau and ms. choi.

go Educuties!!!

***Pictures, to follow***
